La Cubanita
Called into La Cubanita cafe bar today for a bite to eat after visiting Almoradi market. Food was superb, service was great. Staff were very kind and friendly and I manage to wash it all down with a few glasses of Old English Cider. Very relaxing afternoon, well worth a visit.
Hi Geoff, not sure about the price, but either the meal was very cheap or the cider, as I spent about five hours there and managed to spend twenty euros, including a three course meal. They also threw in free salsa cubana dancing lessons and had some fun watching an englishman with two left feet making a fool of himself! They do meals like fish and chips or pie and chips for under five euros with a drink thrown in. Its situated in the market area and is difficult to spot on market day. Calle Donadores 4, is address and they have a box add on here somewhere, which is how I found them. http://cubanita.es/

PS best wishes to el pobre Padre
Saturday, Paul. It's right in the town, in several of the little back streets off the town square. Take note of where you leave your car, because when you go back to it, all the little roads look the same. That's my experience, anyway!
If you approach Almoradi from the Orihuela roundabout end you will come in past the school. If you turn left into Calle Maestro Manuel Serrano on Doctor Marron by the chemist you will find plenty of parking spaces there, if you get there early.
So, where is it Alan? And was it expensive?
